No More Room in Hell 2 Update History & Patch Notes
No More Room in Hell 2 launched its 1.0 "Armageddon" version on August 11, 2026. Since then the developers at Torn Banner Studios have shipped hotfixes, run weekend events, and previewed what comes next. This page tracks the game's update history and what is on the horizon.
Hotfix 1.0.4.0 (August 25, 2026)
The 1.0.4.0 hotfix focused on fixes and quality-of-life improvements across the game:
- Regional server routing — fixed an issue where players in some regions (e.g. continental Asia) were not routed to the closest servers.
- Disconnect forgiveness — fixed cases where Responders would die on disconnects that should have granted forgiveness.
- Matchmaking — fixed a "server is full" error when attempting to enter a match.
- Broadway — fixed players getting stuck unable to climb out of the tracks near the end of the map.
- Achievements — fixed the "Guiding Light" achievement not unlocking on completing Lighthouse.
- Sensitivity — increased the max sensitivity setting ceiling from 2 to 6.
- Exit confirmation — added a confirmation prompt for "Exit to Main Menu" buttons.
- Survival respawn — Survival now features a final respawn at the end of Wave 3 and at the start of extraction. Objective mode will gain a final respawn prior to extraction in the next update.
- Controller & UI — multiple fixes for controller navigation, scoreboard access, muted-player handling, and cosmetic loadout bugs.
- Weapons — fixed the Fierra DB12 not being recognized as a shotgun for Weekly Assignments, and an occasional incorrect ADS zoom.
2X Responder XP Weekend (August 27, 2026)
Torn Banner ran a limited-time 2X Responder XP weekend starting August 27, 2026. During the event, Responder experience gains were doubled — a useful window for leveling up skills faster. If you missed it, keep an eye on future events.
Developer Blog: Beyond Armageddon (August 20, 2026)
In their first post-launch developer blog, Torn Banner shared where No More Room in Hell 2 is headed:
- Player milestone — over 1,000,000 players have played since Early Access, with 500,000 joining from the 1.0 launch on PC and consoles.
- Multiple updates planned for 2026, two of which are slated for Autumn. The team also has its eyes on 2027.
- The updates will deliver extra content that didn't make it into 1.0, plus new features and improvements informed by player feedback.
- A September update was mentioned as the next milestone after the 1.0.4.0 hotfix.
- Ongoing work includes improving character preservation through disconnects (losing a Responder to something outside your control is a priority to fix).
What This Means for Your Builds
- Survival is friendlier now — the final respawn at Wave 3 / extraction start means a wiped squad can still extract. Adjust your Survival strategy to be slightly less conservative in the last wave.
- Objective respawn coming — the planned final respawn before Objective extraction will reduce permadeath sting in the next update.
- New content incoming — the Autumn 2026 updates and the September update may add maps, weapons, or modes. Check back here or the official Steam news for patch notes as they land.
